Muse | Evie Henderson

The first word Evie reaches for to describe her home is light - literally and energetically. Her main living space is cocooned from the main road, but surrounded by windows and garden, which makes it feel both safe and cosy, as well as open and spacious. Both things at once.

Evie founded The Yellow World on a simple principle: that shopping shouldn't be overwhelming, and what we wear should be timeless, ethical, and made to last. Built around small-scale, sustainable production and collaborations with like-minded brands, it's a world she has shaped entirely in her own image - considered, enduring, and quietly beautiful. It makes sense, then, that the same instincts carry through to everything else she touches.

Ask her what tells people the most about her in her home, and she doesn't hesitate: the pistachio chaise longue. If you know her, you know she likes to be horizontal.

We visited Evie at home to photograph her in her edit of our collection, and asked her to build her own stack using our new ring stack builder.

For Evie, effortless is a bit of both - conscious and unconsidered. She chooses her clothes carefully and curates her wardrobe, so day to day she doesn't really have to think about it. The work lives in the foundations.

She believes everything has the potential to hold a lot of history - objects, clothes, jewellery. Even when editing and clearing out, she always asks herself: even if a piece doesn't suit me anymore, does it hold a memory that takes me back to a place of warmth or happiness? If so, it's worth keeping.

Let's talk about your stack. When you think about stacking rings, is it instinctive or considered - do you plan it or feel it?

Instinctive. It's wherever I feel comfortable, and often just however I've been fiddling with them throughout the day.

Was there a stone, shape, or finish you knew immediately had to be in it?

I love the smokier tones. I was really set on incorporating one of those - they're so beautiful, but they also work as great neutrals to layer with. They hold everything together.

Did anything surprise you about the process of building it?

How hard it was - hard in the best way. There are just endless opportunities, all as beautiful as each other. Because I wanted something I could really live in and wear every day, I think it took me longer than I expected to decide. Which felt right.

"Jewellery", Evie says, "does something clothes can't: it makes the most basic of things feel special."

Jewellery, she says, does something clothes can't: it makes the most basic of things feel special.

Her home, her wardrobe, her stack - she sees the same thing in all three. Good foundations for layering.
